What is Trestolone?
Trestolone (MENT) is a synthetic anabolic androgenic steroid belonging to the 19-norandrosterone class, the same family as nandrolone (NPP) and trenbolone. It is widely regarded as one of the most potent androgens in this class, making it highly effective for bulking and rapid muscle accumulation. Unlike other 19-nors such as trenbolone, trestolone is notably estrogenic, arguably one of the most estrogenic compounds available, and uniquely tends to support rather than negatively impact mood in many users. It is available in three ester variants: Acetate (shortest half-life), Enanthate (medium), and Decanoate (longest), which differ only in release rate and injection frequency, not in the active compound itself.
Mechanisms of Action
Androgen receptor binding with high affinity, driving significant increases in nitrogen retention, protein synthesis, and anabolic signaling across muscle tissue
Progestogenic activity as a 19-nor compound, contributing to its effects on joint support and mood but also driving prolactin elevation as a downstream effect
Aromatization to estrogen at a high rate, which accounts for its pronounced estrogenic profile and the need for active estrogen management on cycle
Neuroprotective signaling suggested in research contexts, with 19-nor androgens showing activity in neural tissue that may contribute to the mood-supportive effects trestolone is known for
Suppression of endogenous testosterone production via HPG axis feedback, making post-cycle therapy essential following use
Benefits
Rapid and substantial muscle mass gains driven by high androgen receptor affinity and strong anabolic signaling, making it one of the more effective bulking compounds available
Improved strength alongside muscle accumulation, commonly reported as noticeable within the first weeks of use
Improved mood setting it apart from other 19-nors like trenbolone which are well known for negative psychological effects
Joint health support via its progestogenic activity and water retention, which can reduce joint discomfort during heavy training
Potential neuroprotective effects suggested in research literature for 19-nor androgens at the neural tissue level
Dosing
Trestolone Acetate | Pin ED or EOD
Level | Dose |
|---|---|
Pre-workout / Starting | 10 mg ~1 hour before training |
Beginner | 15–30 mg/day |
Advanced | 35–50 mg/day |
Trestolone Enanthate | Pin 2–3x Per Week
Level | Dose |
|---|---|
Low | 25 mg twice per week |
Medium | 50 mg twice per week |
High | 100 mg twice per week |
Trestolone Decanoate | Pin Once Per Week
Level | Dose |
|---|---|
Low | 50 mg once per week |
Medium | 100 mg once per week |
High | 150 mg once per week |
All three esters contain the same active compound, the only difference is half-life and how often you need to pin. Trestolone stacks well with testosterone, primobolan, and other androgens.
Warning: Trestolone is one of the most estrogenic compounds available and can cause gynecomastia very quickly. Have an aromatase inhibitor on hand and be prepared to use it. Do not run this compound without estrogen management in place.
Safety Profile
Dyslipidemia with potentially significant negative shifts in LDL/HDL cholesterol profiles, particularly with longer cycles
Elevated estrogen due to high aromatization rate, the primary side effect concern and the reason active estrogen management is non-negotiable
Elevated prolactin as a consequence of its progestogenic activity, which can contribute to gynecomastia and sexual side effects if unmanaged
Decreased fertility with significant suppression of endogenous testosterone and sperm production during and after use
Increased blood pressure driven by water retention and estrogenic activity, warranting cardiovascular monitoring throughout a cycle
